Green Ninja is my on-going personal project on traditional gardeners of Japan. These photos were taken when I worked in Kanagawa ken, when I first arrived in Japan last May 2009. In the 2-year period that I worked with them I tried to document the myriad of newness that greets an immigrant like myself: my own city, my co-workers, our work place, and our daily activities.
